Riding Lessons

One of the things we do best at Willow Tree is teaching kids and adults to ride. We offer private and group lessons to the beginner as well as the advanced rider. Our instructors have 40 years combined experience and have developed an instruction method that helps even the most timid rider have a positive experience. Our primary instructor, Patricia Yates has been teaching riding here for over 8 years.  She is an accomplished equestrian whose foundation was derived in England and continued here furthering her education in the discipline of dressage.

Tricia has a wonderful way with young children as well as adults who wish to enter the world of riding.  English or Western, Tricia teaches solid basic riding skills that have the potential to take the student into the competitive arena. Tricia is also popular with our boarders and is often found helping a struggling horse owner with problems whether they are on the ground or in the saddle.

Our primary goal for the beginner is to help develop a comfortable feel with the horse, which in turn develops confidence and control. We can also work on developing the skill level of the more advanced rider thus improving their riding ability or improving their relationship with their own horse
